Our editorial purpose
Our goal is to publish educational content that is accurate, practical, and genuinely useful for families and schools. We aim to make CAT4 preparation easier to understand without oversimplifying how the test works.
We focus on people-first educational content. That means we prioritise clarity, learning value, and trust over hype, noise, or search-driven filler.

Our editorial process
Every piece of content passes through the same four-stage process before it reaches readers.
Research & plan
We review GL Assessment's published documentation and real CAT4 formats, while also paying attention to the questions families and teachers ask most often.
Write & simplify
Grigori writes the guides, and our specialist educators and Grigori write the practice questions. Everything is drafted with a strong focus on clarity, structure, and what actually helps a learner make progress.
Solve & test
Our specialist educators and Grigori solve and review every question to confirm logic, difficulty, and level alignment. Formats, timings, and scores are checked against GL Assessment's published documentation.
Publish & improve
Grigori approves the final version before it is published. We then keep improving the page when guidance changes, new issues are found, or better explanations are needed.
Expert review
CAT4 Prep works with four named specialist educators. Together with Grigori, they write and review our practice questions, and they review pages for accuracy, level alignment, and clarity before publication.

What "Written by" and "Reviewed by" mean on CAT4 Prep
When a page carries the byline Written by Grigori Cirva, it means Grigori researched and wrote that page and is accountable for its accuracy.
When a page carries a reviewer note, it means the page has benefited from educational input intended to improve accuracy, clarity, and learning quality.
It does not mean the reviewer necessarily wrote every word on the page. It means the page has received professional review support relevant to its educational purpose.
How we update content
- When guidance changes: content is reviewed annually, or earlier if the exam format changes.
- When a mistake is found: Grigori reviews the issue, with the page's specialist reviewer where relevant, and the page is corrected where needed.
- When a page can be improved for clarity: we update it regularly based on need.
- When a reviewer suggests a correction: Grigori reviews the page again and decides whether the suggestion should be added.
