About Grigori

Grigori Cirva is the founder of CAT4 Prep and has run it since 2023, when work on its guides began. He has researched and written every guide on the site, covering each CAT4 level from X to G, the four test batteries, school admissions, and score interpretation. The site's practice questions are written and reviewed by its specialist educators and by Grigori. In all, he has written hundreds of practice questions and reviewed thousands.

He began building CAT4 Prep after seeing that much of the CAT4 material online did not match the real structure of the test, and rarely said who had created it. CAT4 Prep was built to fix both: guides that follow the test as GL Assessment publishes it, and named people who are accountable for every page.

Before CAT4 Prep, Grigori spent more than a decade in digital content and growth roles. This included working on assessment tests at TestHQ, a practice platform for employer aptitude tests and school entrance exams including CAT4, and at WikiJob, a UK careers platform publishing aptitude and psychometric test preparation.

Grigori's Role at CAT4 Prep

Grigori founded CAT4 Prep and is responsible for everything it publishes. He researches and writes every guide on the site and updates pages when test information changes.

In practice, this means checking test formats, timings, and score information against GL Assessment's published documentation, solving every practice item before publication, and making sure each page matches the CAT4 level it covers.

Grigori is not a classroom teacher, so CAT4 Prep works with named specialist educators — Sarah Evans, Faiza Sajid, Marina Krasnopolska, and Majdi R.. They write and review CAT4 Prep's practice questions together with Grigori, including the questions in the free practice tests and practice PDFs, and they check pages for accuracy, level alignment, and clarity before publication. Pages they have reviewed carry their name. Grigori coordinates this work and is responsible for the final published version of every page.

Some sections and explanations are drafted with AI assistance. All of it is edited and checked by Grigori before publication, as set out in our AI Disclosure.

CAT4 Prep is an independent resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to GL Assessment, the publisher of CAT4. The guides and practice tests are free to use. The site earns a commission when families buy full preparation packages through partner links, currently with Pretestplus, and commercial relationships do not influence the factual content of the guides. Full details are in our Affiliate Disclosure.

When a page carries the byline Written by Grigori Cirva, it means Grigori researched and wrote that page and is accountable for its accuracy.
